Health and Safety Policy for Ndukauba LTD.

1. Introduction
Ndukauba Ltd is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all employees, volunteers, visitors, and service users. This Health and Safety Policy outlines our commitment to health and safety, the responsibilities of all stakeholders, and the procedures in place to ensure a safe working environment.

2. Policy Statement
Our aim is to:

  • Prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health.
  • Manage health and safety risks in our workplace
  • Provide clear instructions and information, and adequate training, to ensure employees and volunteers are competent to do their work.
  • Engage and consult with employees and volunteers on day-to-day health and safety conditions.
  • Implement emergency procedures, including evacuation in case of fire or other significant incidents.
  • Maintain safe and healthy working conditions, provide and maintain plant, equipment, and machinery, and ensure safe storage/use of substances.

3. Responsibilities

3.1 Management Responsibilities

  • Ensure that health and safety is a core organizational priority.
  • Provide leadership and resources to meet health and safety obligations.
  • Ensure risk assessments are carried out and reviewed regularly.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure employees and volunteers receive adequate training, information, and supervision.
  • Investigate all accidents and near misses to prevent recurrence.

3.2 Employee and Volunteer Responsibilities

  • Take reasonable care of their own health and safety
  • Follow health and safety procedures and use safety equipment provided.
  • Report any health and safety concerns to their supervisor immediately.
  • Participate in health and safety training and discussions.
  • Cooperate with management on health and safety matters.

4. Risk Assessment

4.1 Purpose

  • To identify potential hazards and evaluate the risks associated with them.
  • To implement measures to reduce or eliminate risks.

4.2 Procedure

  • Conduct regular risk assessments for all activities and locations.
  • Record findings and review them periodically or when changes occur
